Art Teacher, LVHS

POSITION: Art Teacher (Grades 9-12)
LOCATION: Lander Valley High School/Pathfinder High School
SALARY: $49,875 minimum (based on 2024-25 salary schedule)
CONTRACT: 185-day contract with full benefits
START DATE: August 2025

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold a Wyoming teaching certificate with an endorsement in art and must be highly qualified in art. Desired qualifications include: Past successful high school teaching experience teaching multiple art disciplines; ability to offer concurrent enrollment classes through Central Wyoming College, ability and willingness to coach or advise extracurricular activities; ability to differentiate instruction to meet the wide variety of student abilities and needs; ability and desire to work in a standards-based grading system; ability to work as part of a Professional Learning Community in a collaborative department team; ability to implement RTI and PBIS concepts; strong classroom management skills; ability to be able to work with all grade-levels 9-12; commitment to teach to the established standards and benchmarks to ensure student achievement; good communication skills; willingness to assist the school by serving on school and district committees; willingness to be a team player; and the desire to continue to grow professionally to better be able to educate our students.

JOB DESCRIPTION: This position will teach art classes at Lander Valley High School and possibly some classes at Pathfinder High School and work collaboratively with the other two art teachers. Classes to be taught may include classes in drawing, painting, pottery, printmaking, digital art and stained glass.
