POSITION: Computer Science Teacher (Middle School)
SALARY: $49,875 starting base salary (based on 2024-25 salary schedule); full benefits
CONTRACT: 185-day contract
START DATE: August 2025

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold or be eligible to hold a Wyoming teaching certificate with an endorsement in Computer Science, Technology and/or Business. The successful applicant must have: the ability to teach all areas of Computer Science in accordance with the Wyoming Career and Technical standards and the Wyoming Computer Science standards; high expectations for students and the ability to help students meet those expectations; the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students and staff; good classroom managements skills; a willingness and ability to work cooperatively with other personnel in the school; knowledge of and experience with implementing effective, research-based classroom instructional strategies to increase student achievement; the ability to work well with a diverse group of students; knowledge and experience working with professional learning community (PLC); and willingness to participate in meetings and professional development activities.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the principal, the computer science teacher is responsible for teaching computer science to students at the middle school level with an emphasis on the following areas: computer systems, network communication and troubleshooting, cybersecurity, STEM, coding, computer-aided design, artificial intelligence, robotics, and engineering. The computer science teacher is responsible for leading a project-based classroom where students will actively work to understand computer science processes and applications.
