POSITIONS: Language Arts Teacher
LOCATION: Lander Middle School
SALARY: $49,875 starting base salary (based on 2024-25 salary schedule); full benefits
CONTRACT: Full-time, 185-day contract
START DATE: August 18, 2025

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, a certificate issued by the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards Board with an endorsement in English/Language Arts (6-12) and be “highly qualified”. Other desired qualifications include: Experience working with middle-level students; understanding of middle-level students and their needs and characteristics; understanding of effective middle-level instructional strategies and structure; ability and willingness to teach cross-curricular integrated units; ability and willingness to work in a middle-school team environment; ability to differentiate instruction to meet the wide variety of student abilities and needs; ability to implement RTI and PBIS concepts; strong classroom management skills; commitment to teach to the established standards and benchmarks to ensure student achievement; good communication skills; knowledge and experience working with professional learning community (PLC) and willingness to participate in meetings and professional development activities; willingness to assist the school by serving on school and district committees; and the desire to continue to grow professionally to better be able to educate our students.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the principal, the successful candidate will deliver instruction in Language Arts curriculum to middle school students in a co-teaching setting with another grade-level Language Arts teacher.
