POSITION: Family & Consumer Science Teacher
LOCATION: Lander Valley High School
SALARY: $49,875 minimum (based on 2024-25 salary schedule); full benefits
CONTRACT: Full-time, 185-day contract
START DATE: August 2024

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold a Wyoming teaching certificate with an endorsement in Family and Consumer Science.
Desired qualifications include: Ability to teach all areas of FACS, has high expectations for students and ability to help students meet those expectations; willingness and ability to work with students to prepare them for state ProStart competition and to supervise them at the competition; ability to differentiate instruction to meet the wide variety of student abilities and needs; ability and desire to work in a standards-based grading system; ability to work as part of a Professional Learning Community in a collaborative department team; ability to implement RTI and PBIS concepts; strong classroom management skills; ability to be able to work with all grade-levels 9-12; commitment to teach to the established standards and benchmarks to ensure student achievement; good communication skills; willingness to assist the school by serving on school and district committees; willingness to be a team player; and the desire to continue to grow professionally to better be able to educate our students.

JOB DESCRIPTION: This position will teach all FACS sections at Lander Valley High School (school enrollment: 470 students) and will work with the school’s ProStart team.
