POSITION: Alternate Placement Program (APP) Monitor
LOCATION: King Building (Central Office) modular
SALARY: Column E - $16.81/hr. minimum, 37.5 hours/week minimum; full benefits
START DATE: As soon as possible

DESCRIPTION: This position requires the staff member to provide a structured environment for students who have been assigned to the Alternate Placement Program (APP). This position is responsible for monitoring student work progress during the APP day and coordinating with school administration and staff to ensure objectives are being met. When not assigned to the APP, the staff member will assist in the district, primarily as a substitute teacher/para.

QUALIFICATIONS:
● At least 48 semester credits at an institution of higher education; or have an associate’s degree; or pass the District’s basic skills test.
● A substitute certificate or willingness to obtain one.
● Experience preferred working with high school or middle school students.
● Ability to work effectively with a student with behavioral issues.
● Ability to follow directions and implement behavior and academic plans.
● Ability to use various computer programs and other technology.
