Lander Mayoral Candidate Town Hall

Join the Lander Chamber of Commerce for a moderated mayoral candidate town hall on July 29 from 5:30–7:00 p.m. This member-focused discussion will give mayoral candidates the opportunity to respond to questions on local economic conditions, the business environment, housing, workforce development, and other community issues affecting Lander businesses.

This event is open to Chamber members and is intended to foster constructive, issue-focused conversation between candidates and the local business community. Location TBD.

About the Candidates 

Alan McOmie

I am running for Lander City Mayor as I see a need for change. I worked for the Lander Police Department for 41 years with 20+ years of Supervisor experience, with strong leadership qualities. I attended numerous council meetings and Department head meetings during this time.

I see a strong need for updated Infrastructure. Roads, curbs and gutters, water/sewer. I will work to get them done quickly and work to streamline the permitting and fee structure along with zoning which will help Lander’s business community.

It’s time to get things done vs just talking about it.

Michelle Motherway

My name is Michelle Motherway. I am a dedicated member of the Lander community who believes in practical leadership, responsible stewardship, and bringing people together to solve local challenges. I am committed to listening to residents, supporting local businesses, strengthening public safety, and preserving what makes Lander a great place to live, work, and raise a family. As mayor, I will focus on transparent government, smart economic growth, and a strong future for our community. I am running to serve with integrity, collaboration, and a deep commitment to the people of Lander. Thank you for your confidence and your vote!
