Lander Chamber Quarterly Luncheon: Business Climate Briefing: Bridging the Gap Through Dialogue and Participation
Join us on August 14 for the Lander Chamber’s Quarterly Luncheon. We will share key findings from our recent member survey, offer perspective on the issues affecting local businesses, and outline how the Chamber plans to encourage productive dialogue through its new strategic direction.
The luncheon will focus on strengthening communication between the business community, elected officials, and community leaders. We will discuss where concerns are emerging, where common ground may exist, and how members can help communicate practical, business-friendly priorities and solutions.
We will also be joined by Katelyn Harrison, Manager for the Northwest Region of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Katelyn works with chambers across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Alaska on federal issues affecting local businesses and communities.
She brings more than a decade of Capitol Hill experience, including service as Deputy Chief of Staff for a member of Congress. Earlier in her career, she worked on housing policy and constituent services, giving her firsthand insight into the challenges facing rural communities and small businesses.
Katelyn will share the U.S. Chamber’s housing “playbook,” which includes data and recommendations communities can use to increase housing supply and adopt policies that encourage private-sector solutions to housing shortages. She will also discuss the potential benefits of recently enacted housing legislation and how local leaders and businesses can approach housing challenges with practical, market-oriented solutions.
This will be an opportunity to ask questions, better understand the issues before us, and learn how the Chamber intends to move these conversations forward.
We also encourage members to watch the full recording of our recent Mayoral Town Hall before the luncheon. It provides useful context for many of the issues we will discuss.
Join us and help continue this important conversation.
