Join the Lander Police Department for Coffee with a Cop

The Lander Police Department is inviting the community to come together over a cup of coffee.
On Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 9 AM, stop by Loaf ‘n Jug for Coffee with a Cop. Join
officers for a complimentary hot or iced coffee—or even a hyperfreeze.

Coffee with a Cop is a relaxed, informal way to meet officers, ask questions, and share what’s
on your mind. There’s no agenda or presentations—just conversations that help build stronger
connections between the police and the people they serve.

“Events like this give us the chance to step out from behind the badge and connect with folks
one-on-one,” said Interim Police Chief Kelly Waugh. “We want people to feel comfortable talking
to us, whether it’s about neighborhood concerns, ideas for the community, or just to say hello.”

The Lander Police Department extends its thanks to Loaf ‘n Jug for hosting this first Coffee with
a Cop. The department looks forward to building on this effort and partnering with more local
businesses to bring similar events to the community in the future.
