Fraud Alert: Phone Scam Targeting Credit Union Members
Fraud Alert: Phone Scam Targeting Credit Union Members
Warning to Grand Altitude Federal Credit Union members
Grand Altitude Federal Credit Union has been notified of a phone scam affecting our members.
Scammers are calling individuals and falsely claiming that fraud has been detected on their debit or credit card, or that their card has been compromised. The caller then attempts to obtain sensitive information such as card numbers, security codes, online banking credentials, or one-time verification codes.
These calls may appear to come from our main phone number, (307) 332-5151, through a tactic known as caller ID spoofing.
Please remember:
- Grand Altitude FCU will never call and ask for your full or partial card numbers, PIN, online banking username or password, or security verification codes.
- Do not provide personal or financial information to unsolicited callers.
- Even if the individual on the line sounds knowledgeable and convincing – the scammer doesn’t have your account information until you provide it to them.
- The scammer might text you with a link to “verify” information. Do not click on links that you receive via text message. This can possibly provide the scammer with access to your phone.
- If you receive a suspicious call, hang up immediately.
If you have any concerns about your account or receive one of these calls, please contact Grand Altitude FCU directly at (307) 332-5151.
Protecting our members is our top priority. Thank you for helping us keep your financial information secure.
