The purpose of this meeting is to discuss legislative technology and process topics assigned to the committee by Management Council as well as consider potential policy changes to forward onto Council for consideration.
The purpose of this meeting is to continue the Committee's interim work. The Committee will consider bill drafts regarding law enforcement issues, the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security and Wyoming Department of Corrections, the right of appeal for the state in criminal cases, statutory monetary amounts, and protection orders. The Committee will discuss information related to peace officer training, fingerprinting and background checks, misdemeanor penalties for municipal courts, and the adoption and foster care system. The Committee will also receive updates from the Wyoming Attorney General's Office and the working group addressing firearms issues. The Committee will review a Wyoming Supreme Court opinion and consider bill drafts forwarded to the Committee from the Mental Health & Vulnerable Adult Task Force.
