About Us
The Riverton Museum is a public history museum that exists for the purpose of improving public understanding of the past as experienced in the Riverton community and Fremont County in general.
The collection of artifacts displayed are from the 20th-century pioneers who brought a new town and community to life at the big bend of Wyoming's Wind River. The Riverton Museum also holds a beautiful collection of American Indian artifacts from the Eastern Shoshone and the Northern Arapaho, of the Wind River Reservation.
Along with the collection of artifacts, we also house an extensive subject file, research library, and photograph collection for researchers and the public.
