Job Title: Development Associate
Reports to: Development Director
Type of Work: Full-time, Salaried
Classification: Non-Exempt
Start Date: March-April 2025
Location: negotiable within Wyoming; Headquarters in Lander, WY

Starting salary: Competitive and comprehensive benefits, time off, and compensation package, and a salary range of $50,000 - $55,000 annually.

About Your Role
You will advance fundraising initiatives that protect Wyoming’s environment and quality of life. The associate will work closely with the development director and other staff to help maintain strong relationships with donors and funders. This position plays a key role in ensuring donor gifts and intentions are recorded accurately and that WOC is able to authentically, and in a timely fashion, express our gratitude for their support Additionally, this position will help track and compile critical information needed for reporting out on grant initiatives to funders.

About You
You love working on a collaborative team, but are organized and able to see a project through to completion. Expressing gratitude for the generosity of our donors and funders brings you joy.
You are detail oriented and take pride in accurately documenting information shared with us by donors and funders. You are comfortable using grant and donor databases or CRMs, or are eager to learn. You value the importance of maintaining consistent data entry processes.
You are committed to contributing to WOC’s equity and belonging work to ensure the organization is a welcoming place for all staff, board, volunteers, members, and organizational partners. You are curious about and respectful of Indigenous ways of knowing and cultural differences.
You love Wyoming and enjoy occasional travel within the state to hold events with members. You like working flexible hours. You have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
You are experienced working on Apple devices and the standard suite of office tools and technologies. You are comfortable using Zoom, but also aware of its limitations. You aren’t afraid to learn new systems. You can efficiently share documents and other files in the Google Suite collaborative work environment.
