POSITION: Special Education Teacher (Resource)
LOCATION: Lander Middle School
SALARY: $49,875 minimum (based on 2024-25 salary schedule)
CONTRACT: Contract dates to be determined based on start date, full benefits
START DATE: October 2024

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, a Wyoming teaching certificate with a special education endorsement and must be highly qualified as a special education teacher. Other desired qualifications include: Ability to provide quality instruction to students; ability to help students achieve IEP goals; ability to support the regular classroom teachers; knowledge of special education rules and regulations; ability to work well with at-risk high school students; ability to be a team player in a small school; willingness to participate in Discovery Skills training; and ability to support students and other staff in the social skills development process for all incoming students.

JOB DESCRIPTION: This individual will provide effective instruction per the students’ IEPs; serve on the response to intervention team; work with teachers and paraprofessionals to collaboratively plan and implement lessons to benefit students; and supervise paraprofessionals.
