LOCATION: Bruce Gresly Aquatic Center
SALARY: $9/hr Lifeguard Duties; $19.13/hr. WSI duties. These are part-time, temporary positions
WORK SCHEDULE: To be determined - afterschool, evenings, weekends
START DATE: August 28, 2025

QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a CPR/first aid certificate; lifeguard certification; and WSI. Prior lifeguard experience is preferred. We are willing to work with individuals who might not have all of their certifications.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The job of water safety instructor is done for the purpose/s of teaching all assigned students how to swim; helping maintain an attractive, sanitary and safe swimming pool/facility for students, staff and public; maintaining required student records; ensuring availability of equipment; and complying with health and safety requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 10% sitting, 20% walking, and 70% standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and a generally hazard free environment.
