Role Type: Part to full time. Peak season, June - October, 25 - 35 hours per week, project dependent. Off peak season November - April, 0 -10 hours per week, potential for remote work.

Dandelion Floral is seeking a creative, organized, and motivated Assistant Floral Designer to join our team. Reporting directly to Owner and Lead Floral Designer Teresa Tibbets, the ideal candidate has experience in floral design or other creative training and has ability to to carry out work in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Floral Designer will manage the production of floral designs for weddings and events, oversee a team of designers/freelancers, and plan logistics of destination events. This position is part to full time and seasonal in nature, depending on wedding schedule. Base pay depends on job-related experience, knowledge, and skills. For this role, we offer training in floral design and project management, and provide opportunities for professional development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Partnering with Lead Designer on client meetings, design plans, flower sourcing and inventory, and execution of wedding and event
Manage staffing and scheduling for events
Work closely with Lead Designer on travel logistics
Traveling overnight to execute destination events and installations (within 3 hours of Lander, WY)
Leading strikes/event clean up
Manage studio organization, cleaning, curating rental inventory, and oversee recycling/composting
Attending networking events, connecting with vendors, and promoting Dandelion Floral in the community
Writing blog posts and organizing wedding photos
Qualifications and Skills:
1+ years of experience in floral design, art, or related creative or service industry
Professional communication style, comfortable writing with proper grammar and voice
Proficient using Google email, sheets, docs, photos, and web browsers.
1 + years experience working in team setting and/or management
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Comfortable working with tight deadlines and adapting to a variable work environment.
Physical Qualifications:
Able to lift 50 lbs and carry a 5-gallon bucket of water with flowers
Able to stand for 10+ hours
Comfortable driving large vans and trucks with a trailer
Confident on a 12 ft ladder
Valid drivers’s license
