The purpose of this meeting is to receive additional information regarding W.S. 21-3-401, reading assessment and intervention; early childhood programs; the Wyoming Department of Educaiton's Teacher Retention and Recruitment Task Force; and the Wyoming community college system. The Committee will also discuss draft legislation; the implementation of 2023 Wyoming Session Laws, Chapter 179, Wyoming charter school authorizing board; and school finance recalibration.
The Chairmen have requested individuals who plan to address the Committee during the public comment portion of each agenda item and wish to provide testimony in excess of five minutes or have a presentation to accompany their testimony, should advise the Chairmen and LSO prior to the meeting so the Chairmen can plan accordingly.
Individuals who plan to provide materials to the Committee during the meeting should provide the materials in electronic format to Committee staff and provide sufficient hard copies for members of the Committee, Committee staff and interested members of the audience. Hard copies should be on three hole paper.
All materials provided to the Committee in written form will be part of the official record of the Committee’s meeting and will be on file at the Legislative Service Office.
