Small businesses are increasingly becoming targets for fraud and cyber attacks. In today’s digital age, protecting sensitive information and financial transactions is more important than ever. The costs of a security breach can be significant, from loss of customers’ trust to financial loss. In this presentation, attendees will learn how to protect their businesses from these threats while minimizing costs and utilizing the free or low-cost solutions that exist. It will provide practical, actionable insights and tips for small business owners to protect their operations.
Presenter: Jim Drever, the Regional Director in South Central Wyoming for the Wyoming SBDC, has served clients in the area for over a decade. Before joining the Wyoming Small Business Development Center team, he was a Marketing Director and Project Manager at a software company, had a small consulting business and recently cofounded CyberWyoming with the Made Safe in Wyoming program. He has been a source for cybersecurity for small businesses in the Wall Street Journal and presented on the topic at national conferences. Beyond general business assistance, Jim specializes in E-Marketing/E-Commerce, and Risk Management, especially Cybersecurity in which he is a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and has a CISO Specialist certification with a background in vulnerability assessment, ethical hacking, and cybersecurity risk assessment & management. He assists and advises clients with cybersecurity statewide.
