June is Pride Month. Wind River Pride has events scheduled to add to the celebration!
Pride Houlihan Narratives
Friday, June 24, 7 pm, Lander Public Library's Carnegie Room
The Houlihan Narratives is a live storytelling event, modeled after Public Radio's "The Moth," but with our own Wyoming style.
Our theme, this time around, is "Coming Home." If you are a 2 Spirit/LGBTQIA+ person, your story matters. We would love to listen. The Houlihan Narratives' audience already loves you and will listen to your story with respect and attention you deserve. Contact amy@wildirisclimbing.com if you have a story to tell.
Wind River Pride Drag Show
Saturday, June 25, 7-8 pm, Jaycee Park (Jaycee Park is on North First Street, between Main and Lincoln streets.)
The festivities will begin at 6 pm with makeup and dancing in the street.
The show will begin promptly at 7 pm, then we'll head over to Gannett Grill's Coalter Loft (across the street) for an after-dance-party!
Special performers include: Starling, My Darling; Ms. D'Vine; Moon Daddy; Heller Highwater; Camilia Jenner.
Wind River Pride Picnic
Sunday, June 26, noon-4 pm, Lander City Park
9th annual Wind River Pride Picnic, celebrating the LGBTQIA+& Two Spirit community! BBQ, music, speakers. Bring a potluck item to share. Wear your Rainbow Best! Queer Closet clothing exchange, too.
