Beginning in Jackson, Wyoming this premier "stage" format sled dog race is hosted by area communities. The Stage Stop Race aims to promote healthy and active lifestyles for people and their pets. By showcasing the strong bond and dedication between humans and canine participants, our aim is to inspire people to enjoy the outdoors with their animal companions. Teams race on public lands of the Bridger-Teton and Shoshone national forests, competing for $200,000 in prize money & the elusive title of “Stage Stop Champion."
The public meet and greet will be held at Lander City Park on February 5, 5:30-6:30 pm. Stop and meet the mushers and their dogs!
On February 6 at 9 am, the race will start at the Louis Lake Road parking lot on Hwy 28 on South Pass. On February 7 the final stage will begin at 9 am at the Louis Lake Road parking lot. The alternate start weather permitting will be at Bruce's Bridge in Sinks Canyon State Park.
