The National Museum of Military Vehicles

Guests can tour the world-class National Museum of Military Vehicles for free on May 28. Since we expect long lines for tank rides and at the machine gun firing range, guests are encouraged to spend time in the Museum, tour the exhibits and reflect on the service and sacrifice American veterans and their families have endured. We want guests to celebrate with us in the Museum on this special day. The Museum has three main galleries highlighting World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

Vehicle demonstrations and free tank rides will take place on the tank track to the southeast of the Museum. An M48 AVLB (armored vehicle launched bridge) will deploy its bridge at 11:15 a.m. followed by a demonstration of a Leopard 1 tank. After vehicle demonstrations, guests have the opportunity to climb inside armored vehicles on display at the tank track and ride in tanks. Guests must sign a waiver to take part.

Outdoor Shooting Range

An outdoor shooting range featuring fully automatic weapons will operate to the west of the Museum under the supervision of American Shooters range safety officers.
