There will be a public meeting about the future management of the Shoshone National Forest on Thursday, Sept. 13, 5:30-7 pm at the Noble Hotel Popo Agie Classroom, corner of Main Street and N. 3rd streets. Enter through the N. 3rd Street door, first room on the left.
The meeting is hosted by Wind River Front, a newly-formed group of Fremont County businesses, educational institutions, recreational groups, entrepreneurs, retirees, artists, professionals and others. Wind River Front advocates for public lands, outdoor-focused quality of life and economic sustainability.
The public has until Nov. 1 to weigh in on how it wants the Forest Service to manage the Shoshone for the next 15-20 years. Come to the meeting to learn what's at stake and how you can participate.
