LEADER meeting May 9

The May meeting of the LEADER Corporation will be held next week Wednesday May 9, 7:00 AM in the backroom of the Oxbow Restaurant.  The program will be conducted by Joanne Garnett, FAICP, of the consulting firm Orion Planning Group of Sheridan.
 
Orion Planning Group is assisting the City of Lander in its Master Plan.  The master plan contains elements of growth, land use, transportation, preservation and economic development.  Orion will conduct the first phase of the Economic Development portion of the plan with LEADER next week.  Orion will be seeking input regarding how the citizens, business and organizations would like to see Lander develop economically.  They will look at what kind of businesses are desirable, how large a business can/should be in Lander, the roll of Tourism, and all manner of other elements of Economic Development.

LEADER Corporation is a Lander-based Economic Development organization that holds monthly meetings to inform the public on events and projects that affect the economies of Lander, Riverton and Fremont County. LEADER also provides assistance for new businesses that will bring development and jobs to the area.
