The February LEADER Meeting will be held at 7:00 AM, Wednesday, February 13, in the backroom of the Oxbow Restaurant.
The meeting will be a presentation on the happenings at the WRLC (Wyoming Life Resource Center, formerly the Wyoming State Training School). As many of you know, there is legislation being developed in Cheyenne that will require a study of the WLRC as to the cost-effectiveness of the institution and the services it delivers to Wyoming and the community.
Joe Quiroz and Lora Davidson will be at the meeting to discuss the legislation and the impact that the facility has on clients and families. We will also discuss the economic impact of the WLRC on Lander and Fremont County.
We all know what the WLRC has meant to Lander. Please attend to better understand what the community could be facing if the facility were to close.
LEADER Corporation is a Lander-based Economic Development organization that holds monthly meetings to inform the public on events and projects that affect the economies of Lander, Riverton and Fremont County. LEADER also provides assistance for new businesses that will bring development and jobs to the area.
