**Robert Burns you say? Who was he?
Considered Scotland’s national poet, Robert Burns was born in Alloway, Scotland on January 25, 1759. He wrote the words to the song “Auld Lang Syne”.
A literary romantic, Burns is known for his spontaneity, directness, sincerity, and his variety in his writing, Burns wrote his poems in the “Scots” language which makes it lots of fun to read! Come to the supper and try your lowland Scots reading skills….If You Dare! (It’s not as difficult as you might think. Then again...)
