The Dubois Winterfest and 15th Annual Dubois Sled Dog & Skijoring Races are coming up Feb. 3-5 with a variety of both indoor and outdoor activities.The event actually begins on Jan. 30th with the start of a Poker Run through Feb. 4. Participatns will collect up to seven playing cards at participating Dubois businesses and return the sealed envelops to a Bread and Soup contest on the fourth where the winning hand will receive a prize.
Other Winterfest events include sled dog and skijoring races held at the Sheridan Creek Oval, about 17-miles west of Dubois, a children’s craft event, the Bread and Soup contest, a kids dress-up show and a hootenanny.
There is an entry fee for sled dog and skijoring participants and the Bread and Soup contest is $1.00 per ballot. All other events are free.
