Open House for Proposed Changes to the Title 4 Planning and Zoning Code
Join the Planning Commission at City Hall on Thursday, September 19, at 6:30 PM to learn about the proposed changes to the Title 4 Planning and Zoning Code and what they could mean for you and your neighborhood. The evening will include a presentation on the proposed planning and zoning code changes, followed by a question-and-answer session where you can voice your concerns and seek clarification. All are welcome to attend the open house.
Missy White, City of Lander Council member and liaison to the Planning Commission, shared, “Attainable housing is one of Council’s goals. Having reasonably priced housing for young professionals, workforce, those on fixed incomes, and seniors is a concern of our constituents. As a result, the Planning Commission was tasked with suggesting changes that could increase housing options.”
Zach Mahlum, committee chair of the Planning Commission, stated, “As always, the Planning Commission welcomes continued comments and questions from the public regarding the work we have done on the proposed code changes. We look forward to answering the public's questions and considering your comments."
Please note that the first reading of the proposed ordinance will take place during the City Council meeting on October 8. Three readings are required to enact an ordinance.
