Bouldering competition at CWC

There will be a Bouldering Competition this weekend, Saturday, December 3, at Central Wyoming College Climbing Gym, 2660 Peck Ave., Riverton. Gals competition is 5:30-7 p.m., guys 7-8:30 p.m. Final results announced and prizes awarded at 9 p.m.

Categories include men's and women's beginner, intermediate, advanced and open, all ages. Beginners are strongly encouraged to compete. There will be climbs for all levels. Door prizes donated by Wild Iris Mountain Sports, Metolius, Black Diamond, Vedawoo, Red Chili, Wild Country and Atomik. There are also $50 cas prizes awarded to top overall male and female competitors.

Competition entry fee is $20, currently enrolled CWC students $15. Spectators are free. This is great to watch since you can sit right in the theatre seating. For more information, call Darran Wells, assistant professor, Outdoor Education & Leadership, 855-2063, cell 349-9205.
