"100 Years of the Old Yellowstone Highway Adventure Trek" May 19, 9am-4pm:
The Riverton Museum is hosting the 100 Years of the Old Yellowstone Highway Trek for this Wind River Visitors Council Adventure Trek Series program on May 19, 9am to 4pm.
Join us at the Riverton Museum on a bus tour of the Old Yellowstone Highway in celebration of its 100 years. Enjoy a guided tour presented by historian Jackie Dorothy along this historic route up to Thermopolis. There, we will visit the local Hot Springs Museum and take a short dip in their famous Hot Springs open to the public. We will then enjoy a buffet at the One Eyed Buffalo Brewing Company.
Please arrive at the Riverton Museum before 9am to get on the bus. We will take a the bus up to Shoshoni where we will pick up our guide Jackie Dorothy and she will give a history of the Yellowstone Highway from Shoshoni to Thermopolis. At Thermopolis we will visit the museum and enjoy a catered lunch. Both the museum admission fee and the catered lunch will be included in your ticket cost through the Riverton Museum.
Ticket prices are $25 with the lunch and admissions included. This event is open to the public with limited space so call the Riverton Museum to reserve your spot at 307-856-2665.
