POSITION: SPED Behavior Resource Paraprofessional
LOCATION: Gannett Peak Elementary (K-3)
SALARY: $16.86/hr minimum, 35 hours/week; full benefits
START DATE: As soon as possible

DESCRIPTION: This position is a 7-hour per day classified position providing academic and behavioral support for students in grades K-3 and may provide one-on-one or small group instruction. The job entails providing the students with academic and behavioral support in the classroom. In addition, this person will be responsible for observing and documenting student progress, working collaboratively with the special education and general education teachers, and implementing the student’s behavioral programs and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
● At least 48 semester credits at an institution of higher education; or have an associate’s degree; or pass the District’s basic skills test.
● Experience preferred working with elementary students.
● Ability to work effectively with a student with behavioral issues.
● Ability to follow directions and implement behavior and academic plans.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
