Police Officer I or Lateral Police Officer II
Located at the base of the Wind River Mountains, you are within minutes of many enjoyable outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, fishing, rock climbing, mountain biking, ATV riding, hunting and many other active endeavors.

For Police Officer I, the salary range begins at $55,409 annually. For Lateral or Certified Police Officer II, the salary range begins at $57,740 annually. Final placement and salary will depend on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
Our working shifts are (12) hour shifts, rotating every 6 months from days to nights. This allows you to take 2 weekends off a month to enjoy the local activities. Lander has a low violent crime rate and is a great place to raise a family.
Applicants must pass a physical assessment, complete a background check, and a psychological exam with the Lander Police Department. All non-Law Enforcement applicants must take and pass the Wyoming Peace Officer Standards and Training Test (POST), prior to the completion of the hiring process. Preference will be given to those applicants that are currently Certified Law Enforcement applicants.
