POSITION: Permanent Substitute Bus Driver
LOCATION: Transportation/Warehouse
SALARY: $22.97/hr minimum, 6 hours per day, 179 days per school year; full benefits
START DATE: August 2025

QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A current CDL with school bus endorsement is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking; and 10% standing. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and some hazardous conditions. The ability to help remove students from the bus in an emergency is required.
DESCRIPTION: The job of bus driver is done for the purpose/s of transporting students over scheduled routes and/or from special excursions; ensuring vehicle operation is in safe operating condition; and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses. The permanent substitute bus driver will fill in covering routes as needed.
