The Wind River Visitors Council is Hiring a Part-Time Visitor Experience Representative
The Wind River Visitors Council’s mission is to stimulate tourism by increasing awareness of, and encouraging
visitation to, the unique destinations, activities and events in Wind River Country. Established in 1989, the
organization is funded by the local lodging tax.
Job Title: Visitor Experience Representative, Wind River Visitors Council
Reports To: Executive Director
Location: Countywide position based in Lander, Wyoming
Status: Part-time, hourly (approximately 10 hours per week)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as an ambassador for visitor-related services throughout Wind River Country
● Promote local destinations, events and activities
● Monitor and maintain inventory of brochures and display materials across the region
● Perform clerical and organizational tasks, including filing, scheduling and drafting correspondence
● Assist in the preparation and logistics of bi-monthly board meetings
● Support the brochure fulfillment program
● Travel within Fremont County and the Wind River Indian Reservation will occasionally be needed
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be passionate about Fremont County and the Wind River Indian Reservation (branded as
Wind River Country), and serve as a strong ambassador for the Wind River Visitors Council’s mission and values.
Qualifications include:
● Strong attention to detail
● Excellent organizational and time management skills
● Clear and effective written and verbal communication
● Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
● Previous experience in a Destination Marketing Organization (DMO), Convention and Visitors Bureau
(CVB) or a related visitor/customer service role preferred
● Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
● Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud and WordPress preferred
Compensation
$20 to $22 per hour, depending on experience. This is a part-time position (10 hours per week).
