INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION FOR ARTISTS

Saturday, August 10, 2018

10am - 7pm

WHERE:  RiverFest is held in Lander City Park, 405 Fremont St., Lander, Wyoming.

Set up area is south of the park office building, across the water ditch from the Lions Club shelter. Unloading and loading will take place on the west side of the park, at the first main parking lot on City Park Drive which is an extension of 3rd Street.

WHEN:  RiverFest is open to the public from 10am to 7pm

Artist booths will be open from 10am - 7pm

BOOTH SPACE:  A map of the booth locations will be complete the week before the festival and will be available for viewing at the Lander Art Center front desk.  We are making changes to this years layout to accommodate more booths and shade. Booth areas will be marked when you arrive to set-up on the morning of August 10.  LAC staff will be on hand at 8:00 am with the map at the entry table located by the parking lot and Lions Shelter, for your information. You will have roughly 10 ft x 10 ft of space for your booth. Some spaces are more organic than others due to the natural-scape of the park. We will do our best to provide the most accommodating space possible.

SET UP: We recommended set-up starting between 8:00am - 9:00 am on the morning of the 11th and to be completely set up by 9:45 am. Artists’ booths open at 10am until 7pm. Tents are no longer available from the Lander Chamber.  Baldwin Creek Rental will have tents available to rent.  Make your tent reservation early. Electrical outlets are NOT guaranteed unless prearranged.

UNLOADING: Please have patience and be conscientious of everyone in their needs to unload.  Access to the booth area is limited. Please be prepared to transport your items with either the help of another person or cart/wagon. We will try to have volunteers available to assist you. We ask that you kindly move your car when you are finished unloading so others will have easy access and RiverFest attendees have a place to park.

BOOTH SITTERS: We will have booth sitters. These sitters will visit booths periodically throughout the day relieving anyone needing a break. Sitters will be limited so if you know you will be needing more than usual breaks throughout the day, please arrange for a friend to come and assist you.  If you are totally on your own, please let us know so booth sitters can check on you more often.

TAKE DOWN and RELOADING:  Artist booths are required to remain until 7pm. There will be a final musical performance from 6 - 7pm so please be aware of festival goers when taking your items through the park. Please have patience and be conscientious of everyone in their needs to pack up. We ask that you kindly move your car when you are finished loading so others will have easy access.

RECOMMENDED SUPPLIES:  Tent, tables, display racks, and chairs as required; cash/change; wrap, bags, boxes; business cards; sun screen and/or bug spray; food and water (food and water will also be available for purchase). Prepare for different weather conditions such as wind and rain.

HELPFUL TIPS AND INFO: If you’d like to do a demonstration at your booth, please let us know in advance for marketing purposes. Demonstrations are a fun and creative way to draw people to your booth! In addition to the marketing we do, we encourage you to market through your own networks and communities. Help us grow RiverFest!
