The Wyoming Afterschool Alliance will present Reducing the School-to-Prison Pipeline: Leading the Way Through Afterschool, the 3rd Annual Statewide Summit on Juvenile Justice, on Thursday, April 25 from 10:00am-4:00pm at the Lander Community and Convention Center. Lunch from The Middle Fork restaurant is included.
This is an annual event to elevate the discussion about using afterschool programs as an “Early Alert System” with community leaders, afterschool professionals, and professionals working in the juvenile justice system in Wyoming.
CLE and POST credits will be available.
Learn from speakers who will share their experiences from Fremont County, around the Mountain West, and across the country: State Operations & Policy Associate Director for Fight Crime: Invest in Kids Catherine Van Ness, President of Stay Free Forever LLC Clifford Fewel, Director of Fremont County Youth Services Director, Melinda Cox, Fremont County Deputy Fremont County and Prosecuting Attorney Micah Wyatt, Advocacy & Prevention Training Specialist for Utah Coalition Against Sexual Assault Nubia Pena, Federal Policy Counsel for Campaign for Youth Justice Rachel Marshall.
