Permaculture Design Workshop

Based at the beautiful Alpine Science Institute (formerly the CWC Sinks Canyon Center), this workshop will introduce students to permaculture design thinking through a mix of lecture and hands-on application. Our instructors are certified through the Permaculture Institute of North America (PINA) and will cover the following topics:

  • Overview of permaculture ethics and principles
  • Ecosystem function and systems thinking
  • Landscape interpretation and relationships of elements
  • Strategies and techniques for designing personal projects
  • applying permaculture principles at a variety of scales
  • Permaculture zoning, tree-guilding and food forest design
