Imagine yourself in a beautiful forest where everything around you is food, medicine and other products that support your community. Together we'll learn the fundamentals of creating perennial polycultures of useful, multipurpose plants. Forest gardens mimic how natural ecosystems operate and we use plants that regrow every year in a divese mix of species to emulate the genius of nature. Guilds are groupings of these perennials that function in ecological synergy to support the overall health of the garden. You can create a diverse, low-maintenance, high-yield garden providing fruits, vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, and other products in a way that is energy, resource, and time efficient. Presenter Marco Lam has been practicing and teaching permaculture and sustainable living skills for over twenty five years in diverse climates.
