Matt Flinner Trio in concert

The Matt Flinner Trio will be in concert on Friday, June 1, 7 pm, at Bhava Shala, 111 S. 1st St., Lander
Matt Flinner (mandolin), Ross Martin (guitar) and Eric Thorin first formed the Matt Flinner Trio in 2006, and they have become known as an adventurous group that often writes music on the day of any given show, and performs it that same night. Their willingness to take risks and explore the boundaries of what a bluegrass trio can do, combined with their love of traditional mountain music of Appalachia, creates a unique sound in the world of modern bluegrass that shows touches of old-time, jazz and chamber music.
