Fremont Symphony Orchestra, directed by Rebecca Murdock, presents "Suite Romance" on Saturday, Nov. 5, 7 pm, at the Lander Valley High School auditorium.
The performance will feature flute soloist Elizabeth Hicks-Kimmey from Denver. Elizabeth is principal flutist of the Jefferson County Symphony, substitute flutist for the Colorado Symphony and the Colorado Springs Symphony Orchestra. She will perform Camille Chaminade's Concertino for Flute and Orchestra.
Also featured will be student violin soloist Camille Barnes from Dubois. Camille has been Rebecca Murdock's student since age 3-1/2. She is now 17 and a senior in high school. Camille will perform Romance in F by Ludwig von Beethoven.
Erich Korngold will also be on the program. He will perform Sea Hawk Suite, from the 1940's film of the same name; Romance and 2 dances by Edward German; Suite in A major by Antonin Dvorak; and the Carmen Suite No. 1 by Gorges Bizet.
Tickets at the door are $10/person or $20/family.
