Fremont Symphony will hold their annual winter fund raiser "The Mid-Winter Musicale and Mingle" on January 27 at 3pm at the Covenant Presbyterian Church in Lander.
The event features members of FSO performing solo's and small ensembles. Included in this winter's performance are:
Our principal clarinetist, Dan Foster performing Gershwin's Preludes, our 1st and 2nd violists - Tamara Anderson and Alex Engelhart performing Telemann's Concerto in G for 2 viola's accompanied by our FSO string section, The Brass Quintet performing pieces by McKie, Bach and Satie, Director of FSO - Rebecca Murdock on the cello performing Suite Francaise by Paul Bazleire, a piece by Lolliet performed by our principal 1st and 2nd violinist, John and Kathy Cundy and principal Flutist, Donna Prevett, a rousing performance of Tarantella by Squire with 3 cellists - Olivia Fowler, Elsi Sheridan and Rebecca Murdock, and Apre Un Reve by Faure - a cello solo performed by Fred Petersen on his 350 year old French Cello!
A reception provided by our bass player, Shallary Sheridan will include wonderful food and drinks for our audience to mingle with the performers and the audience. Come enjoy a wonderful afternoon filled with beautiful notes and fine cusine - on a cold winter day in January 2018!
The concert is free and open to the public. However, donations toward future FSO concerts are greatly appreciated. A donation box will be placed at the door.
