English Tunnel Mine Tour

Take a hike and step back in time to visit a real mine tunnel. Cut into the living rock in 1868 the English Tunnel was an attempt to tap into a gold vein. Miners blasted rock by the light of candles & hauled rock out by hand.  This tour is a two-mile in and out hike that gives a visitor a chance to walk through some of the oldest parts of the Sweetwater Mining District culminating in a candle lite tour of the English Tunnel!  An experience like no other.
