POSITION: SPED Bus Monitor
LOCATIONS: Central Services
SALARY: $14.36/hr. starting minimum, 179-days per school year, partial benefits Work schedules vary per bus routes - approximately 5 hours per day
START DATE: As soon as possible

QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent is required and job-related experience is desired.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The job of the bus monitor-Special Education is to assist special education students and drivers during transport to and from school and/or special activities; and ensuring the safety and sanitation of assigned vehicles.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 10% sitting, 45% standing, 45% walking and able to lift at least 50 pounds. This job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury.
