POSITION: Occupational Specialty Teacher (one class period) (one year only)
LOCATION: Pathfinder High School
SALARY: Pro-rated based on certified Master’s salary schedule
CONTRACT: 185-day contract, no benefits
START DATE: August 15, 2022

QUALIFICATIONS: Position will be one block per day to teach an elective course to students. Options for the class include ProStart/Culinary Arts, Personal Finance, Foreign Language, Health Sciences, Criminal Justice, Physical Education. Candidates must hold or be eligible to hold a Wyoming teaching certificate with an appropriate endorsement or be eligible to obtain a PTSB Professional Industry Career (PIC) permit based on minimum 2 years work experience for their field of occupational specialty endorsements. Candidates must be willing to obtain an “alternative school/at-risk” endorsement. Desired qualifications include: Ability to work well with at-risk students; ability to use a variety of instructional strategies; ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with students and staff; good classroom management skills; willingness and ability to work cooperatively with the other PHS teachers; and willingness to participate in meetings and professional development activities.
JOB DESCRIPTION: This position will teach a class at Pathfinder High School (50 students). Pathfinder is the District’s alternative high school and serves at-risk students. Typical class sizes range from 6-10.
