SUMMARY:Wyoming Legislature Joint Select Committee on Blockchain\, Financial Technology and Digital Innovation Technology - Jackson
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this meeting is to begin the Select Committee's interim work. The Select Committee will receive updates from the University of Wyoming Center for Blockchain and Digital Innovation\, Wyoming Stable Token Commission\, Office of U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis\, and Wyoming Division of Banking. The Select Committee will consider topics related to the Wyoming Secretary of State's Office\, including the Wyoming Digital Asset Registration Act\, and will receive updates from a working group discussing potential revisions for commercial registered agents and cryptographic signatures. The Select Committee will review its enabling legislation to consider possible amendments and examine bill drafts for the Wyoming Stable Token and Decentralized Autonomous Organizations. Additionally\, the Select Committee will address artificial intelligence governance and data privacy and examine potential legislative changes regarding Special Purpose Depository Institutions.\n\n\n\nThe meeting will be held in person in Jackson and remotely with a live video stream available on the Legislature's Website (www.wyoleg.gov). A limited number of participants can sign up to provide public comment virtually for a specified agenda item during the Committee's upcoming meeting. The total amount of time dedicated to virtual public comment is set by the Committee Chairmen per Management Council Policy. Please fill out the public comment form to ensure the Committee knows you intend to provide public comment virtually.
