SUMMARY:Wyoming Legislature Joint Corporations\, Elections and Political Subdivisions - Lander
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this meeting is to begin the Committee's interim work. The Committee will begin with an overview of each topic to further narrow their focus. The County Clerks and Secretary of State will discuss election integrity and processes. Electricity issues will again be discussed with stakeholders such as the Public Service Commission\, Wyoming Energy Authority\, and power providers. The Committee will discuss the role external\, paid entities have in local governments and they will hear from Wyoming County Commissioners' Association\, the Wyoming Association of Municipalities\, and the Wyoming Association of County Officials. The Committee will be presented with information regarding the Uniform Commercial Code and the Uniform Law Commission. Emergency Services/911 outage reporting and infrastructure will again be a topic of discussion for the Committee. Statutes and requirements relating to public records and open meetings will be reviewed and considered.\n\n\n\nThe meeting will be held in person in Lander and remotely with a live video stream available on the Legislature's Website (www.wyoleg.gov). A limited number of participants can sign up to provide public comment virtually for a specified agenda item during the Committee's upcoming meeting. The total amount of time dedicated to virtual public comment is set by the Committee Chairmen per Management Council Policy. Please fill out the public comment form to ensure the Committee knows you intend to provide public comment virtually.
