SUMMARY:Wyoming Legislature Joint 2024 Select Committee on Capital Financing & Investments
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this meeting is to review the spending policy report and legislative recommendation and consider proposed legislation regarding local government investing in equities\, the investment manager and alternative investment selection process\, statutory and constitutional language conformity and modernization\, investment pool changes for certain non-permanent funds\, and the creation of an intergenerational investment fund.\n\n\n\nThe meeting will be held in Cheyenne with a live video stream available on the Legislature's Website www.wyoleg.gov. A limited number of participants can sign up to provide public comment virtually for a specified agenda item during the Committee's upcoming meeting. The total amount of time dedicated to virtual public comment is set by the Committee Chairmen per Management Council Policy. Please fill out the public comment form to ensure the Committee knows you intend to provide public comment virtually. Only those who fill out the form to provide public comments virtually and who receive the Zoom invite from the Legislative Service Office will be permitted into the Zoom meeting to testify. The deadline for members of the public requesting to provide virtual testimony will be 5 PM of the day immediately preceding the day on which the topic is noticed to be discussed by the committee. At the chairman's discretion\, testimony may be accepted after this deadline if it is in the best interest of the work of the committee.\n\nIndividuals who plan to provide materials to the Committee during the meeting should provide the materials in electronic format to Committee staff and provide sufficient hard copies for members of the Committee\, Committee staff and interested members of the audience.
