SUMMARY:Wyoming Legislature Joint 2024 Labor\, Health & Social Services
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this meeting is to further the Committee's interim topics discussions. The Committee will receive updates since their last meeting in April\, which will include music therapy\, and child care and maternity care. The Committee will consider more information regarding Good Samaritan laws. Pharmacology in relation to chronic pain management and compassionate care models will be discussed. The Committee will tour the Sublette County Hospital District's newest facility. The Wyoming Department of Health will provide their annual update on the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) and weigh in on childcare and maternity care issues. The Community College Commission will provide information about potential and existing midwifery programs in the country. The Committee will further discuss the proposed Wyoming Healthcare Authority. The Committee will wrap up their second interim meeting as they discuss handicap placards and disabled veteran license plates.\n\n\n\nThe meeting will be held in-person in Pinedale\, WY and remotely with a live video stream available on the Legislature's Website\, www.wyoleg.gov. A limited number of participants can sign up to provide public comment virtually for a specified agenda item during the Committee's upcoming meeting. The total amount of time dedicated to virtual public comment is set by the Committee Chairmen per Management Council Policy. Please fill out the public comment form to ensure the Committee knows you intend to provide public comment virtually. Only those who fill out the form to provide public comments virtually and who are e-mailed the Zoom invite from the Legislative Service Office will be permitted into the Zoom meeting to testify.\n\n\n\nIndividuals who plan to provide materials to the Committee during the meeting should provide the materials in electronic format to Committee staff and provide sufficient hard copies for members of the Committee\, Committee staff and interested members of the audience.
