SUMMARY:Wyoming Legislature 2024 Appropriations
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this meeting is to receive updates from the State Construction Department regarding a comprehensive state facilities plan and from the State Budget Department on redistributing the American Rescue Plan Act funds and Section 310 of 2024 Session Laws\, Chapter 118 (budget bill). The Committee will also consider legislation regarding state construction\, foreign land ownership\, and gaming. The Committee will tour the Law Enforcement Academy and surrounding grounds and the Stair Fairgrounds.\n\n\n\nThe meeting will be held in Douglas with a live video stream on the Legislature's Website www.wyoleg.gov. A limited number of participants can sign up to provide public comment virtually for a specified agenda item during the Committee's upcoming meeting. The total amount of time dedicated to virtual public comment is set by the Committee Chairmen per Management Council Policy. Please complete the public comment form to ensure the Committee knows you intend to provide public comment virtually. Only those who complete the virtual public comment form and receive the Zoom invite from the Legislative Service Office will be permitted to testify via Zoom. The deadline for members of the public requesting to provide virtual testimony will be 5 PM on the day immediately preceding the day on which the topic is noticed to be discussed by the committee. At the chairman's discretion\, testimony may be accepted after this deadline if it is in the best interest of the committee's work.\n\nIndividuals who plan to provide materials to the Committee during the meeting should provide the materials in electronic format to Committee staff and provide sufficient hard copies for members of the Committee\, Committee staff and interested members of the audience.
