SUMMARY:SBDC Business Webinar: SBIR/STTR Phase I Proposal Prep with emphasis on National Science Foundation
DESCRIPTION:The Wyoming SBDC Network is partnering with the University of Wyoming (UW) team that is part of the National Science Foundation (NSF) funding I-Corps Hub Great Plains Region to bring this half-day virtual workshop. Attendees will learn about small business innovation research (SBIR) and small business technology transfer (STTR) opportunities. Jim Greenwood will provide helpful tips and a recommended process for developing a competitive Phase I proposal. While material is relevant to all SBIR/STTR agencies\, National Science Foundation will be emphasized.\n\n\n\nDr. Ramsankar Veerakumar\, an assistant instructional professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and one of UW's I-Corps contacts will briefly share information on the NSF I-Corps Great Plains Region Hub which trains researchers to develop business models based on customer discovery and provides mentorship to evaluate a business idea.\n\n\n\nThere is an opportunity to meet one-on-one for strategy discussions with the presenter\, Jim Greenwood\, Greenwood Consulting Group following today's training from 12:30   3:30.  Preference for scheduling one-on-ones will be given to Wyoming small businesses.  Email Haigler@uwyo.edu for one-on-one scheduling.\n\n\n\nPresenter: Jim Greenwood\, Greenwood Consulting Group Inc. Greenwood is a nationally recognized trainer and proposal reviewer for the SBIR and STTR programs.
