POSITION: Speech-Language Paraprofessional
LOCATION: Gannett Peak Elementary (K-3)
PAY & BENEFITS: Classifed schedule, Column B $13.05-$13.55 per hour, 180 days per school year, benefits
START DATE: August 2017

DESCRIPTION: The successful candidate will serve as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) at Gannett Peak Elementary. The SLPA must be willing to work with the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist to meet the needs of students identified with speech-language impairments as well as be a committed team member with the staff of Gannett Peak Elementary.

● Must hold, or be willing to hold, a certificate issued by the Wyoming State Licensure Board for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). A comprehensive Scope of Practice for the SLPA position can be found on the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association website at
● Target job related education (two years of study 48 semester credits at an institution of higher education or have an associate’s degree or pass the District’s basic skills test.)
● Experience preferred working with primary students
● Willingness to be a team player, creative, organized, energetic, high-realistic expectations for students; love of children; good communication skills, and willingness to continue to grow professionally.
