● Completes all paperwork (SO and Fremont 1) for athletes to be eligible in Fall, Winter, and Summer Games, along with other competitions.
● Maintains a positive relationship with athletes, parents, and other staff and communicates with said groups in advance re: practices and competitions;
● Consults with Athletic Director regarding budget and fundraising efforts to include Challenge for Charities and the Jackalope Jump;
● Attends all Special Olympics meetings and shares information with Athletic Director;
● Recruits students, volunteers, and peer coaches;
● Works with the Athletic Director to coordinate practices and travel arrangements;
● Supervises athletes during travel and competitions;
● Models good sportsmanship; and
● Teaches and upholds school and Special Olympic rules & regulations.

● Special Olympic coaching experience;
● Ability to organize and manage time;
● Use positive behavioral management techniques;
● Ability to establish a positive relationship with athletes, parents, and other staff; and
● Ability to attend all practices and meets;
● Adhere to all district requirements and trainings, including CPR/First Aid.
